It's always great when we score a great RV place, and this place was definitely among one our faves that we have stayed. It wasn't the fanciest resort we've stayed and unfortunately the pool was closed for the winter season, but what we loved was that it was clean, with spacious, leveled spots. It was super quiet and perfectly located to attractions and amenities, but far enough removed from the highway and any train tracks. They had washrooms and showers and apparently a sauna, which we never did locate or check out. A Pool/ hot tub and lounge area. A fenced-in children's park and separate dog park. A a mini put, gym and clubhouse.
The staff were awesome and Trina in the office was exceptional to deal with.
We did note some full time RV's in the park but you wouldn't know it as sites were kept tidy and people seemed respectful of park rules and quiet times.
We had a large pull-through site, and navigating the park roads were easy with our large rig. Check in was easy and the entry has a coded gate.
We enjoyed a Luau night, and the food was good, and we even had live music to dine by. They had lots of events and emailed out updates and info regularly.
We very much enjoyed our stay and even connected with family that live in the town of Camp Verde, and spending some much overdue time with my aunt and uncle.

The temperatures definitely dropped as we made our way further north in AZ, and water lines froze a couple of nights, but nothing that wasn't fixed by buying a heated hose at their local ACE Hardware Store.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Verde RV River Resort & Cottages and most definitely would return for a stay.
