We pulled into the KOA, and check-in was smooth, with the staff being welcoming. I had some concerns as the RV campground was not secure and quite open to the public, and I noted a homeless population in the area.
I inquired about security and was assured that the KOA has security that frequently does rounds day and night, and after our stay, I would say my initial concerns were eased.
Our stay there was quiet and nice. We stayed one week, and it is located close to amenities and right across the street from the TRAX light rail transit station.
The store on site is well-stocked. The pool was seasonally closed, but the hot tub was open. We never did use it, but it looked clean and inviting. Sites were roomy enough. Bathrooms and showers on site were clean. They also had a basketball court, corn hole, fire pit social area, a BBQ area, media room with video games and a dog park. There is a full-time living area for RVs, but we were never bothered by it as they have their own roadways in and out and are separated from the KOA park area.
The staff had information/maps and local restaurant printouts for guests which came in handy. Staff were really helpful during our stay.
Would we camp there for a summer? Probably not, but it was clean, we had no issues with security but also made sure to leave nothing in our vehicle and locked our trailer. It was definitely great as a stay over for a few days.
Side note: They did inform us the water pressure is very high and RVs should have a pressure regulator.
