If you're looking for some amazing desert trails...this park has them!

They also have camp sites....they do not have hook ups and have length restrictions.

We did the Saguaro Loop trail and the views were spectacular. The loop we did was pretty short and easy, about a 3 km hike. Hiking in the fall is nice as the temperatures are much cooler, but you'll still need lots of water as winter days can still get pretty hot. I always bring layers too, as you never know when the weather can turn. I also always hike with my pack that is supplied with numerous items I might need in the event of an emergency... LOL, except on this day I somehow managed to forget my hiking socks on the table back at the RV... so barefoot in my hikers I had to go. I survived the day with no blisters. I think I'll add socks to the list of things that stay packed in my hiking bag from here on out.

We did not see much wildlife... a few birds. We did see tons of cacti varieties. Views along our hike were plentiful which made for some great landscape photos.

I would have loved to enjoy more of this park, but we only planned a short hike for this day followed by enjoying lunch in the shade under one of the many covered picnic areas. There wasn't much in the area for food stops, so we packed a cooler as we often do.

There was a bathroom in the main parking area that was really clean....which was a nice change. The picnic areas had dedicated handicap parking and the picnic areas that would easily accommodate a wheelchair, and perhaps the gravel road. There is a camp host that lives onsite located at the main parking lot.

We hope you enjoy this park as much as we did!

Just don't forget your socks!! :)
